Contemplation

{“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD.“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. }
- Isaiah 1:18

Burning, passionate love for a seemingly innocent night can seem harmless between two youngsters. Howevever, it can lead to heart break, heard feelings and sometimes an accident resulting in 9 months of reminicing that "small" mistake.

Abstinence.  Its a powerful word to some, but to others its a praised religious term that is regarded no more than garbage.  My question to those who allow themselves sexual freedom is "why?"  Why does one let their gaurd down and become vulnerable to such sin in an ungodly manner?

Recently,  one of my family's very close friends, about my sister's age, became pregnant.  This newsflash was a complete shock that left us completely speechless.  She had been raised in a loving, christian home and her parents were my parents best friends.  Not to mention that her older sister had undergone the same circumstance about 3 years prior to this.  Our only conclusion was that everyone makes mistakes...and then this brought on the question of "who are we to judge?"

I felt as her struggle could be a lesson and a story of comfort for others.  It shows that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. No matter how big or small, God will forgive our sins and cast them into the sea of forgiveness.  It also shows us that we have a choice..A or B. To be free of sexual sin or to partake in premarital sex is one's decision. What will you chose?
