Tragedy

{Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay" says the Lord.} - Romans 12:19

This past week, our school suffered a traumatic event.....a young freshman took his life. Through all of the rumors and gossip, my high school was still able to come together as a body of Christ.  I am so proud of us and our impact on the community. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we lead a prayer circle and had a small memorial service for him. The amount of people that showed their love for Christ was unbelieveable. I'm so happy I live in a community where we are encouraged to pray for others! God is so good and has a plan. I think we showed everyone that you can still praise Him while going through a storm.

We still do not know all of the details, but we do know that this family is suffering. Please keep the Williams family in your prayers and thoughts.  I will be updating with more information as soon as possible.

Southern happiness

{And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.} - 1 John 4:16

Let me just say i LOVE weddings! The joy and happiness that couples have is delightful. When they stand by the alter, or in this case a vine arch, their love for each other spreads to all who attend. It makes me want to have that kind of sweet love story. Anywho, enough with my fascination about weddings....here are a couple pics of the southern chic event!

Pop of color

{Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.} - Matthew 6:34

Lately, I've been in a black mood when it comes to dressing. I think it's connected to my frustration with school...the reading, calculus, and clubs. I feel like my to-do list is miles high. Not to mention the leadership positions I've been appointed to this year.  I feel like I'm not living up to what my peers, teachers, and coworkers expect of me. It worries me.

I've got to channel my frustration into productivity though; turn my grief into something more. I guess I just need to add a "pop of color" in!
