Homecoming 2012

Just wanted to post a little belated thank you!

I received 2012 homecoming queen at my high school! I am so thankful and I can't believe that little me would win something that big. The other 3 candidates looked stunning that night and I'm so honored to have even been on the court. Thank you to my high school, family, and friends for making this the best night ever!

Dixie Classic Fair

{Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.}
- Philippians 2:1-2

Last week, two girlfriends and I headed to the fair to eat greasy food, ride the Ferris Wheel, and look at the exhibitions.  Despite the downpour of rain that began when we first arrived, we had a great time and caught up on greatly missed "girl talk!" To get out of the rain, we went to see the art and crafts that had won first place in various divisions. Then, we wandered to the stables to feed the hungry animals. They were hilarious...the camel literally tried to eat my camera! After feeding the animals, we realized how hungry we were! Our noses carried us to deep fried three muskateers, krispy kreme burgers, and chocolate covered strawberries! We chowed down to say the least! Once our bellies were full of junk food, we made our way to the Ferris Wheel. We finished  the night with a ride to the top and a stop at Starbucks before heading home. :)

I hope yall get to enjoy your local fair or festival this autumn!

{For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline} - 2 Timothy 1:7

Here are a couple photos of my school outfits! Ill go ahead and apologize for the poor quality (in the bathroom I might add!) I'm still not comfortable with taking pictures in front of onlookers...it's just awkward. I might start doing this on a regular basis though. It helps me step out of my comfort zone because i know that even though my high school is staring at me, you guys never fail to offer encouragement!

Anywho, Be looking for a post about the fair in the next couple days! Fried food, animals, and a Ferris wheel all in one post....I can't wait! I hope you have a marvelous week!

Ps - the Hawaiian outfit was from spirit week...trust me...I'm not that crazy!
