{Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.} - Proverbs 16:3
Tomorrow is graduation. WOW. Where did the time go?
I can remember my freshman year how scared and self conscious I was, how my life changed and I started being a true Christian. Sophomore year, I lost 15 pounds from medication. I felt beautiful and like I was finally skinny. In reality, I looked sick, unhealthy, and I was still hiding behind my self image issues. Junior year, I became a determined lady, always working and joining a new committee. I put my fears aside and jumped into the deep end of leadership. As this year comes to a close, I finally realize who I truly am. No, I'm not the prettiest nor the skinniest, but I'm ME. I am passionate about fashion and can't wait to pursue a career that I believe God has called me to. I am not the strongest in my faith, but I'm vowing to keep the pursuit. I've found that I am a stickler when it comes to morals and I love talking to others about their beliefs. I'm a good listener and I love to serve. I'm definitely no where near perfection and this year I've learned that sometimes you can never be.
These past four years have taught me that I'm OK with myself. Yes I'm quirky, short, sometimes tempered, a bit of an over-reacter when I finally can't hold it in any longer, and quiet, but that's me. God has a plan for my life and I have to TRUST that with all my being. I have to trust him with everything inside me.
I can't wait for this next chapter. I can't wait to embark on these next four years.

ReplyDeleteAnd just so you know (in a sister in Christ sort of way of course) I think you're pretty! And you definitely don't need to lose weight (I'm not just saying that to make you feel better).
